PHOTOGRAPHY
Juliette Foy's enigmatic still-life photographs are charged
with spirituality and quiet contemplation. Her photographs
are ambiguous in their nature and to the eye appear almost
like fine drawings.
Reworking the traditional still life composition and subject
matter (fruit and bottles) she brings the image into the twenty
first century with a contemporary minimal elegance. The self-imposed
restrictions of her modest compositions capture the essence
of simple objects and the beauty of light on form.
Juliette Foy's photographs are printed on silver gelatin
fibre-based archival paper and each image is from an edition
of nine.
In Spring 2004 Julette's photographs were selected to hang
on the walls of Ralph Lauren's exclusive London shops.
Juliette spent many years working at Christie's and the V&A and both environments have provided her with experiences which inspire her work.
Limited edition hand-framed prints are priced from £375.00
