Daniel explores the dichotomy between the traditional and
contemporary and the natural and synthetic in his beautiful hand-built porcelain and stoneware.
He recreates both organic and man-made forms using hand-built moulds to create stunningly natural porecelain forms of gourds, pumpkins, onions and lettuces and a range of objects from the industrialized world of mass consumption such as milk pots, blenders and the like.
Daniel has had number of solo shows and is an internationally acclaimed ceramicist, having shown his work in Spain, Venezuela, Sweden and the UK. He is currently working on a collection of limited edition trays in porcelain,in conjunction with graphic designer Nick Couch more news of which will follow.
